We now have all our kit for Churchill's Revenge.

Tent in my backpack. Sleeping bags, stove and food etc in Anne's.

I still think the rucksacks look a bit German, and purists are going to have to grin and bear our foam plastic carrymats (pretend they're blankets).

Out of interest I stood on the scales and my normally svelte 60kg (9st) is up to 85kg (13.5st).

Here we are -

And - back by popular demand - The Cat.

Well I have canceled using my M14, was field testing it today & the barrel was full of grease making the BBS go everywhere, I cleaned it & within 200 rounds it was full of gunk again, so I took it all apart & found it full of grease, gears, piston, everything, so I have put all the bits in a bag & given up with it till I get some new parts from ehobby, I could put it together again but it was awkward to get to bits so I will re assemble it when my steel bushings arrive & new piston, looks like it wil be a trusty thompson again

Steve.D

PS that cat looks almost identical to mine!

Barrie! A plastic water bottle!? ;)

I bloody love the way the just underneath the pictures there's an advert for 'clearing your bad credit now', very appropriate considering the credit card bills that must get sent to the users of this forum! :)

I'm gonna have problems, since I don't have a second person to carry kit.
The 'large' patt 37 pack for my newly aquired set off Warren barely holds the tent, let alone the pegs and sleeping bag... :s

I might figure something eventually. Need to switch the initiative brain on...

Just to clarify guys, you aren't going to need to carry your tents and overnight eqpt up to the camping area. You'll only need kit for the day with you when you are dropped into the LZs.

Overnight stuff is all going to be 'dropped' to the camp area separately.

You may have to carry it there, it'll just not be during the game!

I have 3.
Just trying to avoid using them for the trek from the carpark to the campsite.

Oh well. It seems I have no choice...

Allies will be asked to leave their Overnight stuff out concealed in the woods at the start of game (simulating it being "dropped" into the area by canister), you will not need to carry it through the day , however it is possible you may have to trek it down to whereever your commanders decide your operating base will be . Therefore the advice is do not pack mountains of shite as the odds are you may have to carry it . Spare this, that and the other can be left in the car . If your gun breaks during the day you can always go back and get it .
Your commandoes and airborne not a bunch of Boy Sprouts on a Jamboree .

BTW There is no feckin "campsite" , just bits of forest that are flatter than others. Come on gents- lets try to be a lil' tactical .

Scope for my Springfield's arrived.
Not WW2 but I got a framed set of pictures through from a charity hockey tournament I played in, just a shame we all got drunk before the games and looked it during them
